#lohudvotes: Why are you running for office or seeking re-election?

Calcutti: I want to bring honesty, integrity, accountability and fiscal responsibility back to our village. Our current Board has lost sight of why they were elected. Personal gain has replaced public service.I am hoping that if elected, I can work with the other Board members to bring our village back on track by sharing the decision making process with our residents.

#lohudvotes: What in your personal, civic or professional experience recommends your election or return to office?

Calcutti: I was employed by the Croton-Harmon School District for 24 years and served as President of the Clerical Unit represented by the Civil Service Employees Association, Local 860. I was also an officer at Local 860 prior to my retirement. My negotiating experience will easily transfer to the position of Trustee. As a self-appointed advocate for the residents of Croton, I have attended Board meetings and work sessions for the last 5 years.

#lohudvotes: What would be your top three priorities if you are elected or re-elected?

Calcutti: Open & Transparent Government - Recently our residents were told that asking questions and citizen participation were "excessive". I want our residents to feel free to speak to the Board with their concerns.
Fiscal Responsibility - Streamlining the budget to meet the tax levy mandate.
Business & Development - Reinstate the Business and Development Committee to attract new businesses to Croton.
