Employment: retired

Education: B.S. and M.S. SUNY New Paltz, Education and Psychology, 1972.

#lohudvotes: Why are you running for office or seeking re-election?

Anderson: I am running for Village Trustee because I believe the current Mayor and Trustees have forgotten what public service means. The lack of fiscal responsibility, transparency, and overall lack of integrity became my tipping point.

#lohudvotes: What in your personal, civic or professional experience recommends your election or return to office?

Anderson: I have taught school and run my own small business as a tennis professional, and home services consultant. My twenty years at IBM Research taught me many valuable business and management skills that would easily transfer to the position of Trustee.

#lohudvotes: What would be your top three priorities if you are elected or re-elected?

Anderson: I would champion a more open and transparent government by welcoming public opinion and making more information available to the residents by televising work sessions. Secondly, I would review all the spending and debt accumulated by the current Trustees and prioritize spending and create efficiencies to control the tax levy. Finally, I would try to stop the Gouveia acquisition and Croton Point Ave.project, since they are not in the best interests of the
Village residents
