Q&A

#lohudvotes: Why are you running for office or seeking re-election?

Brijeski: 1)I believe that village funds are Croton citizens' money, not that of the village board, and all spending decisions must be made with that in mind.
2) I believe that Croton redidents have a right to know what actions the village board is taking without having to initiate Freedom of Information (FOIL) requests and learn about all the self interest, back door deals, and cronyism going on.
3) To give Croton residents confidence and trust that they have a voice in government.

#lohudvotes: What in your personal, civic or professional experience recommends your election or return to office?

Brijeski: Currently a Vice President at Citibank having previously held executive positions at various firms, including Credit Suisse, Young & Rubicam, and Ernst & Young.

#lohudvotes: What would be your top three priorities if you are elected or re-elected?

Brijeski: 1) Fair, honest, open, efficient and transparent government in Croton.
2) Have a village board that exists to serve all the people of the village, not just itself and its friends.
3) We want a village board that we can be proud of and in whom we can have confidence that the interests of every citizen of Croton are being considered and protected in all of the board's actions.
