Election Central: Why are you running for office or seeking re-election?

Bracco: I am seeking re-election to support our schools, and community, in their mission to make an outstanding public education available to all of our kids at a level that is financially prudent and sustainable.

Election Central: What in your personal, civic or professional experience recommends your election or return to office?

Bracco: My Board of Education service has been exemplary, and as a finance professional, experienced leader and decision maker, and long-term resident of the District, I have the experience, insight and collaborative approach required for the position.

Election Central: What would be your top three priorities if you are elected or re-elected?

Bracco: 1. Continue the work of the Board in supporting BCSD administration to create a sustainable financial infrastructure that recognizes economic reality while maintaining the educational excellence of the District.
2. Working on adoption of the common core standards while also stressing student assessment, rather than student testing.
3. Addressing longer-term planning needs revolving around district demographic trends and the need to meet them creatively and in a fiscally responsible fashion.
